Endangered Animal Poster Competition

Well done to all of the children from Years 3 and 4 who have given in their posters so far!!!

They are all really great but don't worry if you haven't given one in yet,

you have until Friday 8th April.

Year 3 and 4 Conservation Competition

In today's assembly we looked at endangered animals around the world.

Over the next 2 weeks I will be running an Art Competition.

Can you design a poster about why and how we can help to save your favourite endangered animal?

Year 3 Questions: The Life of a duck.

Year 3 are looking at information books.

We are learning how to write questions and how to research the answers.

Healthy Eating Friday

Today Year 3 had a special workshop all about making salads.

Everyone enjoyed making the salads and working with all the wonderful parents that came in to help.

Science Outside: Rocks and Soil

 Over the past few week we have been learning about Rocks and Soil in Science.

We have had lots of fun, we even have pet worms now!!

 In these pictures we are doing a science investigation. We were making mini floods in order to see what happened to the water.

 We found out that soil absorbs water and when there is a flood, the soil takes longer to soak up all of the water.

 We also collected worms for our wormery, we will be releasing them back to the wild very soon.

We have gone into the playground to look at the snow and we have brought some into class to see what happens to it.
